Simon Bland is Director of Music at St Pancras Old Church, a post he has held since 2014. From 2020 to 2024, he was Director of Music at Haileybury College, and before that held the posts of Deputy Director of Music and Head of Theory of Knowledge. From 2012 to 2018, he was Assistant Director of Music and Organist at St John’s School, Leatherhead. A past organ scholar of Trinity College, Cambridge, he appears on a number of award-winning recordings, including Gramophone’s 2012 Choral Disc of the Year of the music of Herbert Howells. He combines his work as a freelance organist and teacher alongside academic studies at King’s College, London.
